Individual Internship or Rotation

Thank you for your interest in learning at one of our facilities.  An individual internship or rotation applies to one individual in need of a clinical learning experience to fulfill a requirement from a college, school, or other learning program.  This is a hands-on experience, in which the individual will perform job duties/responsibilities according to the agreement between the school and our organization.

Please complete the request form to identify your specific clinical experience needs.  Your request will be sent to the Education Department and responded to within 7 days.  Once your request is approved, the following information must be completed and provided to the Education Department no later than 14 days prior to the clinical start date.

*Please note: KershawHealth will only accept Medical Assisting students from schools that are accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).  The student or school is responsible for providing documentation confirming their accreditation by one of the two aforementioned groups.

  • Immunization and background check letter (click here) – please ask your school to use this letter to show that you meet all of our immunization and background check requirements; if some of these items are not required for your program, you must get them completed and provide paperwork to support this; if you need a background check and would like KershawHealth to process this for a $32 fee, click here to obtain the required form. Form must be returned to the Education & Student Services Coordinator at edu@kershawhealth.org or you may fax the form to (803) 713-1286.
  • Online orientation - you must complete online orientation before beginning your clinical experience; after submitting your request and receiving confirmation, you will be set up in the KershawHealth online learning program; for instructions on how to access the program (after being set-up), click here.
